#1 AI LABELING OF CONTENT

The platform wants to ensure some transparency for its community as AI generation is booming and not slowing down. Flagging this content can alleviate risks, help with misinformation, and provide a level of control but still leave room for creativity. Creators will be prompted to label their content, but, unfortunately (or fortunately to some), its use is honor system-based. Creators using AI will need to mark their content (but is not required by the platform) as such.


TikTok is measuring it as any content 100% generated using AI from beginning to end (without any human touch) is applicable. While it's optional to label, the platform will remove any videos identified as AI that have not been labeled at their discretion. Our advice is to maintain business integrity and label your content appropriately. Transparency with your audience can go a very long way with trust.
